Going bananas
Halfway through a monocot lesson, a colleague takes this picture. It was be yourself day. So we decided to half a biology fieldtrip in the school. Found Dischidia and looked at the domatia that was packed with roots and talked about symbiosis, Murraya foetida, Arachis pinto roots with nodules for nitrogen fixation, frightened a particular student with a dead centipede, studied the oil glands of Peperomia pellucida; so on the whole it was a pretty packed lesson.
